I wanted to share a sneak preview of the wedding we’re currently working on… I’m so excited to see it all come together on Saturday! The theme is Burlap & Lace.
We have been working our big butts off for a dear friend’s upcoming wedding. In true Crafted Details fashion, we are DIYing EVERYTHING! That includes the table numbers, which we had the idea of making ourselves out of styrofoam so that they’d be light and easy to customize. I used this as an excuse to get myself a fun new toy- a styrofoam cutter!
The styrofoam cutter is essentially a heated metal tool that melts the foam. Depending on how steady your hands are, you’re very likely to get great, smooth edges using this tool.
The styrofoam cutter was only about $15 at Michael’s. You can find the product info here.
this would make an amazing craft with kids. i want to do this with my nieces!

It came from a Free People store display, and they recently had a giveaway at their blog where some lucky commenter won it. To quell the masses that didn’t win, the display artist that originally created it put up a great tutorial so we can make our own!
And the tutorial is at freepeople here. Now why would I ever even attempt this? Because I could never ever ever afford to buy it and it is so creative!
